Forest and Encounter progress

I’ve been quietly hammering away at the core RPG systems:

  • Combat;
  • Statistics (i.e. levelling up);
  • Encounters/boss fights.

Lets take sneak peak where we are now.
I’ve been quietly hammering away at the core RPG systems:

  • Combat;

  • Encounters/boss fights.

Lets take sneak peak where we are now:

First, there is now a Forest level filled with encounters (avoidable)

Combat is a lot more sophisticated now, including attributes and statistics

After defeating all enemies, you gain experience and gold

This one is the first boss of the game

And he sure packs a punch!

With the town level aready complete, it’s time to look at creating a complete vertical slice:

  1. a story/main quest
  2. a town area – done
  3. a dangerous area (i.e. the forest) – done
  4. a boss – done
  5. inventory (both cards as well as equipment);
  6. many more cards;
  7. more interesting cards/decks for enemies;
  8. more spell effects;
  9. basic menu structure.

Note that apart from inventory management, all systems are already in place.
